Who I am
Well, if you are here from the welcome page then you already know my name is Jonathan McLean. If you aren't here from the welcome page, then you know my name now. I am an alumnus of Connecticut College, class of 2008 with a double major in European History and Computer Science. Thus in any given conversation with me you may experience tangents relating to text-editor wars or the Hundred Years War (which did not actually last one hundred years). I will spare you from the stereotypical "About Me" factoids, which may or may not include an affinity for ambulatory motion along sandy erosion zones, lasting for an unknown quantity of time.
Experience
In terms of actual web experience, I have had a personal interest in the web for several years working on individual projects in XHTML, CSS, php and MySql. The results of my experience led to my being requested to webmaster several organizations' websites while a student at Connecticut College. My continued relationship with Avenir Solutions, both as an employee and contractor, has provided me with the oppurtunity to keep my skillset constant in this ever changing field.
I am also experienced in general technical support roles, including working at a Computer Help Desk and on-call technician work. I am familiar with most all major operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh OS and many flavours of Linux and BSD-Unix distributions.
